Why From Al Sham
From Al Sham wasn't created because I wanted another photography business.
It was created because I realized photography could become something much larger than beautiful images.
Growing up surrounded by Lebanese traditions, family gatherings, old photographs, and stories passed between generations, I learned that culture is carried through the small moments just as much as the historic ones.
A wedding isn't simply a celebration.
A family portrait isn't simply a photograph.
A meal, a dance, an embrace, or a familiar expression all become part of a family's collective memory.
After years photographing people, cities, landscapes, and life across Canada and abroad, I found myself returning to the same question:
How do we preserve the things that matter most?

Drawing inspiration from the landscapes, architecture, and timeless elegance of Beirut, Damascus, Jerusalem, and Amman, the brand embraces a vintage postcard aesthetic that reflects both nostalgia and hope. Every session is approached with the warmth of Levantine hospitality, where clients are welcomed not simply as customers, but as guests whose stories deserve to be heard.
