Outside of photography, I enjoy cooking, experimenting with recipes inspired by Lebanon and the wider Levant, spending time outdoors, being on the water, learning languages, exploring history, and dancing dabke with family and friends.
These passions continue to inspire the way I approach photography - with curiosity, hospitality, and a deep appreciation for the people and traditions that bring us together.
Behind the Camera
I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, where my passion for storytelling first began.
My journey began in Ottawa, where I studied Hospitality Management before discovering a passion for storytelling through Broadcasting Television. During college, I found myself drawn to script writing, directing, filming, and producing visual stories that connected with people.
Although I didn't know it at the time, these experiences would become the foundation of everything I create today.
After graduating, I stepped into freelance video production in 2019, filming my first wedding and producing promotional work for local clients.
Although I enjoyed videography, I soon realized that the moments I loved most weren't always found between frames - they often lived within a single image
Love of the Craft
2020
When the world slowed down during the pandemic, I picked up a camera and began photographing friends throughout Ottawa.
What started as creative experimentation quickly became something much bigger.
I challenged myself with night photography, explored urban landscapes, built conceptual projects, and spent countless hours teaching myself lighting, composition, editing, and visual storytelling.
Photography soon became more than a complement to video - it became my passion.
2021 - 2024
Over the next several years, photography evolved alongside me.
I explored fashion, portraits, lifestyle sessions, editorial concepts, and documentary-inspired work, constantly refining my style while developing my own approach to directing and connecting with people.
Beginning in 2021, I travelled to Vancouver each year, eventually living there throughout 2024. Those experiences introduced me to new communities, perspectives, and environments that expanded both my creativity and confidence as a photographer.
Every city, every session, and every person helped shape the photographer I was becoming.
A New Perspective
Welcome to Egypt
In 2025, I travelled to Egypt to attend a family wedding. I documented many of the celebrations, including pre-wedding moments, bridal photos, and post-wedding engagement.
Being immersed in a culture where family, hospitality, celebration, and tradition were at the center of everyday life reminded me why photography matters. It wasn't simply about beautiful portraits - it was about preserving identity, relationships, and the moments that connect generations.

Today, From Al Sham represents everything my journey has led me toward.
Inspired by my Lebanese heritage and the timeless spirit of the Levant, the brand is dedicated to cultural portraiture, family storytelling, weddings, and documenting the traditions that shape our communities.
While my work draws inspiration from Beirut, Damascus, Jerusalem, and Amman, my philosophy is simple:
Every family has a story worth preserving.
Every culture deserves to be celebrated.
Every photograph should become part of someone's legacy.
